Who we are
Hi! I’m Tess. I’m a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania, I hold additional certifications as an international certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor (ICAADC) and a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC). I identify as queer, use she/they pronouns, and am a member of the kink and ENM communities.
I believe my role as a therapist is just to show up in the way that works best for each client, but always as my authentic self underneath it all. I’m also a social justice therapist, which means I acknowledge and help you recognize the ways that the society you live in impacts your overall mental and emotional experiences. I work from an IFS framework, which just means that I see things through a non-judgmental space, operating from compassion and curiosity and a strong desire to understand each client’s unique experience of being a human. Additionally, I have training in a variety of techniques, including CBT, DBT, IFS, creative arts therapies, and often use a mix of many things to meet each person’s individual needs at the time.
I specialize in working with clients with complex trauma, BPD, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+, and ENM and kink-aligned clients. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and general life transitions.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family, being outside as much as possible, hiking, reading, doing puzzles, cooking good food, and building Lego. I love freedom to be creative in many ways, and bring that creativity into the therapy space.
